Again, there are tons of maternity gowns on the market, but this gown by Laundry by Shelli Segal Women's Long Gown looks like a bridal gown.  If the top were to be fitted with silver and rhinestones were to be sewn in like Natalie Portman's Azzaro gown, this gown would look more bridal.  Instead of using all rhinestones, pearls can also be sewn in row by row.  Small straps may be needed after the extra jewels are sewn on.

Sewing on rhinestones is quite simple.  Ideally you would want a rectangular shape, or square crystal with a flat edge which you can sew in one stone next to another without a gap of fabric showing.  Although you can get these crystals at your local craft store, I would advise to getting the higher quality crystals, which are swarovski.  They contain more cuts which give off more light, and don't look as though they are made of plastic.

Rhinestones can come in a strip of or band which can be sewn in place.  The only negative about the banding is eventually the back plates that secure the rhinestone in place often deteriorate over time, even turning black.  Sadly, with a white gown, the casings will really stick out compared to swarovski crystals which can be sewn into place using invisible thread.  Over time, your gown, your gown will stay in fantastic condition.   I highly recommend using the swarovski crystals than the sew in rhinestones which take far less time, but break down over time.

Undergarments can also be found in backless styles. Low-line, backless bras and bustiers can give proper support and structure to the front of the gown. Bustiers can shape the body in such a way that sometimes they can conceal up to 20 pounds of weight. If you are needing the structure in the middle section, then lower backless gowns may not be the best choice. Bustiers are made quite low, and can extend up to the mid back. Choosing the right bustier and support hose can tighten the mid section of the waist. Sew-IN cups can be another alternative for a bride who doesn't want to mess around with bras. The best choice is a strapless bra or backless bra. Back-less dresses are sexy, but also elegant. Back-less wedding gowns are not expected, and will give you an entirely unique look to the common bridal gown that is chosen.

Over the last few years we have seen a variety of white gowns show up at the Oscars worn everywhere from excessive ornate beading to simple streamlined looks paired with exquisite diamond jewelry accents. Brides shouldn't be afraid of venturing into colorwhen choosing your wedding gown. Eva Mendes paired her white Dior gown with a turquoise diamond necklace by Van Cleef & Arpels to the Golden Globe awards in 2009. Bridal gowns entirely crafted from tones of silver, gray, beige and golds have come out in the last several years and often look more regal than the classic white satins. Bisque, Almond, Camel, Chamoisee and golds are all exquisite colors that brides should consider. Off whites tend to look more glamorous than true whites.

Sarah Jessica Parker famously wore a black wedding dress on her wedding day, which may explain why her Christian Dior gown looked much like a wedding gown.  The dress featured silvery blue colors which would be just as appropriate on a wedding gown.  The strapless ball gown was made with a tulle skirt although it also looked as if the skirt was also made of organza which made it so interesting to look at.  The silver embroidery made the detail pop.  Many criticized that the top of the gown over exposed her cleavage, in which it did.  Her push up bra should have been toned down.  The belt around her waist and the larger skirt allowed her figure to look small and curvy.  This gown certainly made headlines.

Much like Melissa George's Oscar dress, Sheryl Crow wore this beautiful mermaid gown to the after party for the 2009 Oscar awards.  Mermaid gowns can be wonderful to giving a woman the fullness of a mini ball skirt, and the sexiness of a straight lined gown, but at times it can also accentuate the lack of a waist line which Sheryl Crow was criticized for.  At the same time, if you look at both George's picture and Crows, both ladies seem to have a beautiful waiste line.  These gowns can accent a small waist, but also can show a lack of a waist.  The bottom of Crows gown gives off a more sophisticated look, with streamlined pleats than Georges tulle skirt, which can look perfect for a flirty young bride.

Simplistic gowns allow a bride to go overboard on jewelry to give it more of that bridal appeal.  Uncomplicated wedding dresses also can allow for colored diamond jewelry, instead of the clear white diamond which are typically worn.

Ivanka wore a Vera Wang gown inspired by Grace Kelly, and her hair swept in a loose wave. Her husband Jared Kushner, the publisher of the New York Observer, is a great match for business woman Ivanka Trump. Holding both a JD and MBA New York University Stern School of Business and the New York University School of Law. At the age 25, Kushner paid $10 million to purchase The New York Observer, a weekly newspaper popular with New York's well-educated elite. Kushner gained his fortune in real estate working with his father Charles Kushner who is a real estate developer. Valentino's Spring & Summer Collection 2010

What is in store for Spring from Valentino's perspective? "We wanted to tell a new fairy tale," said Paolo Piccioli, who presented the collection along side Maria Grazia Chiuri. The collection was designed for a NEW generation in mind. A new generation? A new look? This seasons weddings will be all about the soft elegance found in English paintings, filled with soft pastels, and tones of nude, rose, lavender, gold, and gray. This spring and summer we shall see this trend continue as everyone is turning towards the soft romance seen in kisses smothered with glossy pink lips and creamy skin only seen in old romance novels. Flowing fabrics and swirling organza, transparent fabrics, embroidering, and antique laces is what Valentino's new 2010 collection is all about. Ruffles, feathers and organza make a statement which has been over the top, big, and full of detail. The most lavish unexpected surprise of Valentino's collection were details of the lace shoes featuring wispy lace fabrics arched up the leg. This season I don't think this will be the end of this baroque extravagance.
